About the us:

Black Steam is an art production house currently working with CCP Games on their new endeavor, EVE Frontier. We are seeking a highly skilled 3D Artist to join our team and help drive the creation of a visually stunning universe of Eve.

​

Role Overview:

​

As a 3D Artist on EVE Frontier, you will play a key role in creating high-quality hard surface ships and props. You will collaborate with a passionate team of artists, designers, and developers to craft a visually stunning and immersive sci-fi experience. The ideal candidate will take ownership of these tasks and ensure that they are delivered to a high technical and visual standard, supporting the 3d Artists working alongside them. They will work closely with the Lead 3d Artist to help improve workflows and ensure that the projects they have ownership of run smoothly.

Expectations:

​

  • Take ownership of new vehicles in production and support the rest of the team working on them.

  • Work closely with the Art Director to ensure that their creative vision is translated into the game.

  • Work with the Lead 3d Artist to help improve processes and workflow.

  • Collaborate with the other disciplines in the 3d Team to ensure our assets meet the strict functional standards our project demands.

  • Proactively identify issues, working with the Lead 3d Artist to discover solutions.

 

Requirements

​

  • Proven professional game development experience.

  • Mastery of modern hard-surface techniques and workflows.

  • An eye for detail for both visual design and the more technical aspects of game art.

  • Skilled communicator, interacting with a cross disciplinary team effectively and consistently both in person and through text.

  • Inherent ability to bring out the best in people, remain positive, and motivate and influence other disciplines.
